I have found that a diet rich in alkaline foods is a must for the menopausal woman because it can:

  • help keep your weight down
  • encourage a balanced state in the body – homeostasis
  • ward off ailments that would occur within an acidic body environment

Eat more foods like:

cucumber, broccoli, kale, lemon, carrots, beetroot, avocado, sweet potatoes, sprouted seeds, bananas (ripe), olive oil.

Eat fewer foods like:

Cheese, sugar, refined foods such as white sugar and flour, rice, beef, pork, pickled vegetables, cakes, biscuits, ketchup and mayonnaise.

I stick to this way of eating 80% of the time. Yes, I like my occasional wheat free muffin but I don’t go silly with it. What’s your diet like?
